Neuronline

The Society for Neuroscience offer a huge and very impressive range of free online training. Contents range from advice on career development, research training, live webinars, recordings of webinars and podcasts, and international outreach, diversity and advocacy. Some of the material is highly technical and aimed at experts in neuroscience but the content is broad and includes much more basic and general content.  For example, on July 29th 2020 you can register for a live webinar on COVID-19, the brain and mental health

KNOWNEUROSCIENCE

Online iectures

Stay completely up to date. KnowNeuropsychology is a FREE didactic lecture series geared towards students, trainees, and all those interested in neuropsychology. Each week, lectures rotate between between four areas: (1) Clinical Disorders,  (2) Professional Development, (3) Clinical Practice, and (4) Research related topics. The Spring/Summer 2020 didactic series is currently in session with live lectures every Monday (see lecture schedule for details).  You can register online to list to future lectures or enjoy recordings of past lectures.   

SWINBOURNE SEMINAR SERIES ON AGEING

Webinars

Seminar series presented by the Swinburne Psychology Clinic.

The series attracts presenters who are experts in geropsychology and covers issues relating to late life conditions and treatments. Topics include cognitive impairment, pain and grief, techniques to be applied with older adults such as reminiscence therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and life stage issues such as emotional issues in relocating to residential care.

A new 30 minute podcast each week on a range of mental health topics.The Neuroscience Education Institute (NEI)  provides high quality, visually engaging, evidence-based activities for health care professionals.  Some are provided for a fee, the podcasts are free.

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)

Coursera provide many high quality online training programmes relevant to mental health and offered at a beginner, intermediate or advanced level.  Recommended by Thomas Goodwin and Dana Wong (thank you!). EDX

edX is a massive open online course provider created by Harvard and MIT. It hosts online university-level courses in a wide range of disciplines. Also recommended by Thomas Goodwin and Dana Wong.  After an account is made, you may freely enrol in all courses.
