BOOKS
Free e-books or at your library
It probably seems a bit odd to include a section here on books - but as there are occasional free e-books I thought it worthwhile. Also included here is Books on Prescription - approved self help for people who have mental health problems - these will be held in all public libraries in England could be useful for your clients (old and young)
BOOKS ON PRESCRIPTION
Reading Well
This is a fabulous scheme that identifies, and then makes available, good quality self help books for people with a range of mental health problems, There are book lists for young people, adults, children, people with long term physical health problems, and people with dementia.  The books are chosen by health experts and people living with the conditions covered. People can be recommended a title by a health professional, or they can visit their local library and take a book out for free. Disclaimer alert!  One of my books (on adolescent depression) is part of the scheme
